Ciné Junior, a children’s film festival, takes place early each year. Two international competitions are proposed (short and full-length films), and several prizes are awarded at the end of the event, including the Grand Prix Ciné Junior (Grand Prize Ciné Junior) (an 8000€ aid to distribution). Three workshops on subtitling and original languages as well as days devoted to film enthusiasts and professionals are part of the programme.
A Passeurs d’images Prize is also awarded and helps to promote the award-winning film among the members and partners of the network. An educational support of the film is offered at a special screening.
The 2011 edition took place between January 26th and February 8th and its theme was « Youth literature on screen ».
