Launched in 2011, « PARCOURS DE CINÉMA en festivals » (FILM ROUTE in festivals) is a programme aimed at people excluded from certain cultural practises (Passeurs d’images’ usual targeted audience), specifically young people.
This new extracurricular action, built around three partners (a festival, a social structure and one of Passeurs d’Images’ intermediary) brings a group of 10 people to a festival, where they will meet professionals and attend film screenings. Finally, the group will interview a director whose film was programmed or a personality from the festival. This meeting is filmed and the video broadcast on the partners’ website and during Passeurs d’Images’ National Forum. Participants can also initiate screenings for other audiences, in other contexts.
This programme is the opportunity for participants to act at once as viewers, reporters and critics. The objectives aimed at are the apprenticeship of autonomy, the experience of mobility and responsibility assumption.
Passeurs d’Images’ regional joint committees constitute favoured intermediaries between festivals and the social structures. They can create together routes adapted to each group, according to their local situation.
This « PARCOURS DE CINÉMA en festivals » is steered by Kyrnéa International / Passeurs d’images with the partnership of the National Agency for Social Cohesion and Equal Opportunities, the Town ministry, and the CNC (National Centre for Film and Animation.)
