Persons of reference from the Interregional Direction of Youth Judicial Protection (DPJJ) involved in “Des cinés, la vie !”

Youth Judicial Protection takes in charges young people under the custody of justice. It can take on several forms : intervention and follow-up in open custody, accommodation in shelters or in guest families, placement in prison. For the sake of education, the objectives are, among others, to restore their social connection and to facilitate their integration. Young people are offered many cultural initiatives and activities, including the initiative "Des cinés, la vie !".

“Culture/justice” counsellors from Regional Boards of Cultural Affairs (DRAC)

The “culture/justice” partnership is taken over and implemented in regions by counsellors in charge of interdepartmental politics within each Drac. In most cases, these are counsellors for “cultural actions” or sometimes counsellors for “book and reading” (since there are many books and libraries in prisons). This intersectoral counsellor is in charge of the dossier and makes connections, if need be, with other counsellors within a DRAC, according to the approached cultural themes.

“Film-audiovisual” counsellors from Regional Boards of Cultural Affairs (DRAC)

A “Film-audiovisual” counsellor is the chosen contact person regarding film and audiovisual within each region. This person informs, advises and animates, in order to raise a large and young audience awareness of film education.

As part of the fourth edition of the initiative “Des cinés, la vie !”, the regional boards of Acsé can :
 be resource places for lectures (either by directly participating, by suggesting lecturers within the search field or associative initiators) on the themes of the films.
 facilitate the orientation of young people followed by the PJJ (Judicial Youth Protection) and involved in the initiative through other projects supported by the Regional Board (festivals, concerts, exhibitions, seminars...).

The network "Passeurs d’images"

"Passeurs d’images" (formerly "cinéville-un été au ciné") is an interdepartmental initiative devoted to extracurricular Film Education. It is aimed at all publics, young and adult, with access difficulties to film practises.

Its objectives are social, cultural, educational, artistic, cinematographic and entertaining. Almost 200 initiatives, imagined as a project held on a territory, are proposed annually : indoor or outdoor projections, practise workshop, reduced fares, formations, meetings with film directors... "Passeurs d’images" rests on a dynamic and multidisciplinary network composed of more than 2000 structures covering 27 French regions (including French overseas departments and territories), the region of Charleroi in Belgium and above 400 towns. Regional joint committees of "Passeurs d’images" are the key supervisors of the initiative "Des cinés, la vie !".
